The Wolf Wilder, a book by Catherine Rundell, is about – you probably guessed it – the Wolf Wilders. They don’t tame wolves. They wild them, because wolves are too proud to be human pets. They are a girl named Feodora and her mother. They would live a happy life, if it weren’t for the Russian army that is hostile towards them and the wolves. They even do the unthinkable: they arrest Feodora’s mother. Feo luckily escapes and looks for help, which she finds among other children.

This audiobook is narrated by Tamsin Greig, which seems like a great choice, because I felt like I was drawn into the story, being there with all the heroes. My only complaint is that it was difficult for me to understand the words. For example, I thought Feo’s name was Theodora the whole time.
I love that children are the main heroes of the story, which I’m sure other children will like too. The audiobook is made for children aged 10 to 14, and I think it is definitely worth listening to.
